NEW BEGINNINGS! DISTINCTION! FOCUS!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳 to you my dear reader ☺️ I know it’s already the last week of January 2021 (the year seems to be on a quantum leap already😁). But as the popular saying, ‘better late than never’ in sending this post and wishing you all my dear readers a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I am truly grateful you triumphed victoriously into 2021, despite all that 2020 brought our way.

I trust that we are intentionally maintaining an Attitude of Gratitude in spite of all and choosing to count our blessings for all we still have. Engaging in a Grateful attitude (for all you have and don’t have) in this unprecedented times must be an intentional act because a lack of gratitude will cause us to remain in a spot, in a vicious cycle of lack of progress but a just movement.  We see the Israelite experience this for their lack of gratitude, lack of faith, grumbling, and constant complaining (Exodus 32:9, Numbers 14:23, 29-34).

Gratitude is a channel that brings success and blessings our way. To be a recipient or a candidate to receive blessings from God and be a magnet that attracts blessings, we must be mindful that we are not caught up in complaining or grumbling that can eventually lead us to sin.

Remember, the wise saying that a Grateful heart is a magnet for Miracles, so, today, I encourage you to maintain an intentional state of gratitude and strive to develop a gratitude habit as you live each day not only in 2021 but the rest of your days. Again, another wise saying reminds us that when we make Gratitude a habit, it will take us where we want to be. So, watch what you say and train your mouth to utter words of gratitude.

So, that said about gratitude, I welcome you again dear reader to 2021, the Year that we believe ushers us into New Beginnings ( Genesis 8:16-18 AMP)

“And God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 “Go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives with you. 17 Bring out with you every living thing from all flesh—birds and animals and every crawling thing that crawls on the earth—that they may breed abundantly on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” 18 So Noah went out, and his wife and his sons and their wives with him [after being in the ark one year and ten days].”

A year where as believers, i.e as God’s beloved children, we will experience Distinction (Exodus 8:22-23) in all we do because of God’s favour.  Where just as God’s goodness and favour stood God’s people (the Israelites) out in GOSHEN (Genesis 9,10,11)) even in the midst of the turbulent crisis happening in Egypt.

Yahweh, the Sovereign God will put a distinction between you and all that may be happening around you in Jesus name! My prayer is that YOU WILL STAND OUT in 2021 as you remain in God’s ALLOTMENT for you, and that is – GOSHEN!

“But it will be very different in the land of Goshen where the Israelis live. No flies will be there; thus you will know that I am the Lord God of all the earth, 23 for I will make a distinction between your people and my people. All this will happen tomorrow.”

Furthermore,  2021 is a year where I sense also in my Spirit that the Holyspirit will have us stay focused on God’s assignment for us, to seek him for patterns and blueprints for our specific assignment without comparing with others (1 Corinthians 3:5-8 TPT). It’s a year where we must be laser-focused on actively and faithfully doing the work God has committed to your hands. Horning your skills, talents, creativity and becoming a skilled master builder that knows his/her assignment well and many lives are transformed through your diligence to your assignment.

This year Intentionality must be a watchword for us- we must therefore rid ourselves of the temptation to wanting to compare others achievements with ours. We must refuse to be like the servant given one talent in the parable of talent (Matthew 25:14-30), that loses his focused, got into complaining and comparison and eventually lost focus of his assignment and purpose. Such that his assignment was handed over to someone else. So, whatever your assignment or purpose God has committed into your hands, whether it’s five, four or one talent, you focus on doing your path excellently well.

Remember, you are co-labourers with Christ, and others are co-labourers too. We all have differing gifts according to the grace that is given to us – Romans 12:6, 1 Peter 4:10-11. So, whatever platform God has given you to influence others, give your very best reminding yourself the words of Apostle Paul in the scripture below (1 Corinthians 3:5-10) that it’s God that brings supernatural growth.

“Who is Apollos, really? Or who is Paul? Aren’t we both just servants through whom you believed our message? Aren’t each of us doing the ministry the Lord has assigned to us? 6 I was the one who planted the church and Apollos came and cared for it, but it was God who caused it to grow. 7 This means the one who plants is not anybody special, nor the one who waters, for God is the one who brings the supernatural growth. 8 Now, the one who plants and the one who waters are equally important and on the same team, but each will be rewarded for his own work. 9 We are coworkers with God and you are God’s cultivated garden, the house he is building. 10 God has given me unique gifts as a skilled master builder who lays a good foundation. Afterward another craftsman comes and builds on it. So builders beware! Let every builder do his work carefully, according to God’s standards.”

Remain blessed and do have a blessed and highly favoured day.

With love from myself and my dear husband Femi Adun
