As you step out today, here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from Hebrews 4:16 [NLT]
“So let us come boldly (with confidence) to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.“
The NIV translation says
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Today’s key verses is a special invitation, infact more like a love letter from God directed to us His children letting us know that we are always welcome to come before His throne of Grace.
Think for a moment, why is this throne called the THRONE OF GRACE? It is called the throne of grace because there’s no accusation, no shaming, and no condemnation. I also believe it’s called the throne of Grace because of the price our savior Jesus Christ paid for us on the cross of Calvary. Christ death on the cross not only gave us victory over sin.
It also gave us direct access to God’s throne, and His death released God’s grace (a free, undeserved, generous and spontaneous gift from God made possible by Christ death and resurrection) to us which we now have access to enjoy freely.
As Ephesians 2:8 explains that it is by grace we have been saved because it’s a free gift of God, which means you and me cannot boast or take credit for it.
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities, God is personally inviting you this morning and every day to come unashamedly to his throne of Grace with confidence so that you can fellowship with him and while you are doing that, you are overwhelmed with His love, grace, favour, and mercy.
It is refreshing to know that God’s word is an assurance to us that He cares for us and that He has our best interest at heart.God’s word indeed brings joy to our soul and also makes provision for every area of our lives.
Remember that no matter the situation or challenges you are going through today, you don’t have to go through it alone. God is waiting for you to come with boldness and confidence before His throne so He can listen to you and empower you with all that you need to overcome that situation!
Believe and meditate on God’s word and let it be the anchor for your soul! Remember God is bound by His word Isaiah 55:10-11 and He is too full of integrity to break any of it!
