Morning Inspiration – LET YOUR WORDS BRING LIFE TO OTHERS!

As you step out today, here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from Colossians 4:6 [NLT]

“Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.”

The message translation says

Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.”

Today’s key verse is an important reminder of how we ought to live our lives daily as Christ ambassadors and representatives especially in our daily dealings with others.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where people are usually less gracious in their conversations with others. A good example is what we see happen across our social media platforms. It almost seems as if people derive pleasure and are looking for opportunities in putting down others down!

It is therefore essential that as believers we intentionally and consciously make a difference in every conversation we get involved in whether online or offline. As believers we have found grace through God’s love and mercy, let us also show grace to others.

Let us not be quick to judge others and make conclusions about their actions. Where you find others condemning an individual, again whether online or offline, be the person that chooses to bring ‘salt’ that brings life to the conversation.

Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities, remember that today is another opportunity given to you to add value to others!

As today’s key verse admonishes let us endeavor to make our conversations attractive and always to remember that the primary goal of our conversations is to “bring out the best in others and not to cut them out or put them down”.

Be conscious and deliberate about being a blessing to someone today!

Be intentional about not harming anyone with the words of your mouth.

Speak life and hope to people’s lives and circumstances today!

Remember you have the power to make a real difference in people’s lives with your words! It’s a great power don’t misuse it!!!

Do have a blessed and fruitful day!

God bless you!
