As you step out today, here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from Galatians 6:9-10 [NLT]
9.”So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
10. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.”
The message translation says
“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time, we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”
Today’s key verses gently encourage us as believers not to give up doing good because God has a harvest of blessings laid out for us in due season when we choose not to GIVE UP!
I love the way the Message translation puts these scriptures – it admonishes us not to get fatigued, which means for us not to tire out or get exhausted doing good. Because the truth is this – It isn’t always easy to keep doing good especially when the people we do it too, do not seem to appreciate what we do!
Another important reminder from this scripture to us as believers is from verse 10 which admonishes us that “… every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.
This means that we have to also be intentional and deliberate when we get the opportunity to be a blessing to people around us, especially to other believers. Let us choose always to be a blessing to other believers and not get caught up pulling them down with the words of our mouth.
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities, let these verses be etched in your hearts and let it spur you to keep giving your very best in all that you do!
No matter the discouragement you might be facing right now in doing the good you do or lack motivation as it may seem you are not being appreciated.
Don’t give up and don’t be get discouraged but let your satisfaction and joy be in knowing that you are doing it unto the Lord, who does not forget our labour of love.
So be encouraged this morning, remember God’s word to you through these scriptures and let it motivate you to keep doing good knowing that in due season God will honor you with every blessing!
