THE ESSENCE OF LOVE ❤️

A VALENTINE NOTE JUST FOR YOU💝 —————————————————

John 3:15 MSG

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted…”

THIS IS HOW MUCH YOU ARE LOVED!
—————————————————
What a Love, What an Amazing Love

God loves you Recklessly
_
God’s love for you is relentless
_
God’s love for you is unrelenting
__
God’s love for you is unstoppable
_
God’s love for you is unending it goes on forever
_
God’s loves you passionately
_

God loves for you us extravagant

God love knows your name, his love knows your heart, his love forgives you of every sin. His love cancels out every transgressions, His love keeps no record of your past.
__

In his love there is no shame, pain, past guilt, condemnation, or fear.
_
God’s love for you is forever and everlasting
_
God pursues you because He see you are worth pursuing as a groom pursues his beloved bride.
__

So, on this day of celebrating Valentine, I implore you not to get too caught up in the euphoria of valentine that you give yourself blindly to an expression of external love, (this is specially for the singles).
__

Matthew 7:6 says “Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.”

In order words the Bible is admonishing us as believers (who have been made brand new because of Christ shed blood on the cross), have a responsibility to live our lives in such a manner that reflects our identity in Christ (  1 Peter 2:9). And in a way that brings honor to the Lord whether in our words, actions deeds and in our lifestyle.

Unfortunately, this was what Eve, did not take cognisance of in the Garden of Eve ( Genesis 3). Her immature identity of who she was in God resulted in her not placing premium value on her worth as she foolishly gave over her priceless worth (birthright) to the Devil.

This is also what Esau did in Genesis 25:34 when he sold his birthright to his brother Jacob. The Bible stated that he despised his birthright ( i.e. he saw no value in the precious treasure he had, which was why he was quick to trade it for just bread and lentil stew). Like Issac do we also despise our birthright?Do you feel your Identity in Christ is so insignificant that you easily yourself  give up (i.e. body) to others.

So, my admonishment to you today is please, don’t get too carried away in the ‘gifts’ received from people the Bible refers to as “unholy” that you sell yourself short. Let God’s love overwhelm your heart so much that it becomes impossible for man’s love or their showering of gifts to be your true satisfaction.

Remember, no man’s love can ever equal God’s love for you. Man’s love will always and always fall short of God’s love for you. – God loves you with an UNSTOPPABLE LOVE!

“THERE ARE THREE THINGS THAT REMAIN – FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE — AND THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.”
-1Corinthians 13:13

Love is God’s default nature
_
Love is a beautiful thing
_
Yet, often times Love is pain, inconvenience and loads of sacrifice and Yes Valentine’s Day is a day seen to celebrate love. But I wonder how do one truly celebrate love and give of oneself sacrificially without first experiencing the essence of LOVE (God) and the one who is Love personified (Christ).

You can only give out of the abundance of what overflows from within. 1John 4:8 says “The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]”

Truth is, it’s easy to get so caught up with the euphoria of ‘Valentine’s day’ but let’s be mindful that we are to live out the second part of the greatest commandment everyday ‘love your neighbor as yourself’ even when it is not convenient and most times, it is and never will be convenient!

So, it would be difficult to love others without first experiencing God’s love yourself and being constantly transformed by his love, it will be impossible to sacrificially love on people especially our spouses, loved ones and friends.

Finally, 1 Corinthians 13:8 says,All the special gifts and powers from God will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever.”

P.S.

Want to learn how to truly Love others ❤️ without looking to get anything back? Then make sure to keep company with the originator of love – Christ – (Ephesians 5:2).
