As you step out, here’s a reminder to you today, to let God’s word permeate through every fibre of your being to control your actions, emotions, thought patterns and especially what you say out of your mouth.
Proverbs 18:21 says ,
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”
The MSG Translation says,
Words kill, words give life, they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.
So, don’t forget that what you say out of your mouth has the capacity to change your life, so keep speaking God’s word over your life because “His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, ”
Speaking God’s word through positive affirmations is crucial to enable you work in daily victory and to maintain your joy in spite of the pressures around you that constantly tries to deflate your Faith.
I encourage you not to give up and not to give in to those challenging circumstances that is trying so hard to keep you down and unmotivated. Instead be intentional about saying, declaring and confessing who and what you are in Christ Jesus. It will all align and come together in due season.
Here’s a scripture to meditate upon- Hebrews 4:12 [NIV].
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart ( It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires)”.
The AMP Translation says,
“For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of thesoul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
The MSG Translation says,
“God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.”
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities today, declare only what God’s word says about you and not what the press, the economy, people and external forces are saying. Be mindful to speak out God’s word to counter every negatives thoughts that does not align with what God’s word says about you.
Today, speak life over yourself because no one else will do it for you!
