As you step out today, here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from Hebrews 11:6 [NIV]
“And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly (sincerely) seek him”.
The Contemporary English Version says “But without faith, no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and rewards everyone who searches for him.”
Faith is the very core and lifeline of a believer. And without Faith, we cannot lay hold of the blessings God has reserved for us. Which is why the bible says in (Habakkuk 2:4) the just shall live by faith!
As a believer, Faith is your access to receiving everything that God has promised you. which Hebrews 11:1 refers to as confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
As today’s key verse clearly states that it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God without faith. This means that as a child of a God, you must guard yourself against anyone or anything that seeks to make you lose your faith in God or his word. Doubt and fear are faith killers, so we must make sure we guard our hearts against things we see or hear that can make us lose Faith in God’s word over our lives.
Remember God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness 2 Peter1:3 and it is only by Faith in God i.e (believing what God says in His word as true) and his word that we can tap into the immeasurable blessings of God. We are believers by believing that Christ died on the cross for our sins and resurrected on the third day and by that defeated death. We, therefore, believe that God exists by Faith. Even though we do not see God, yet what makes us believers is that we choose to believe in what we do not see what are eternal rather than what we see which are only temporary (2 Corinthians 4:18).
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities, bear today’s key verse in mind and be careful not to let your efforts determine what God has for you. It will only rob you of all that God has for you! Seek each day to walk in faith as that way, it shows your willingness to please God and your love for him.
Make up your mind that you will receive all that God has for you by simply believing and having Faith in Him!
Remember, for we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
