As you step out today, here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from 1John4:4 [NIV
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world”.
The Message translation says
“My dear children, you come from God and belong to God. You have already won a big victory over those false teachers, for the Spirit in you is far stronger than anything in the world.”.
The NIV translation further expands on this scripture by saying
“Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind].”
Today’s key verse speaks on our Identity in Christ, which defines the essence of who we are as God’s children. This scripture lovingly emphasizes who we are in Christ – it speaks of our spiritual nature and makes us understand the authority that is inherent in us as God’s children.
As believers (i.e. God’s children) living in what the bible refers to as perilous times (2 Timothy 3:1-5). We are constantly faced with situations, challenges, and circumstances that try to hinder and deflate our faith and sow seeds of fear in us. But we are reminded of today’s key verse that we are OVERCOMERS through our Lord Jesus Christ and have OVERCOME because we are from God.
Christ death on the cross of Calvary made our supernatural position possible! Being an OVERCOMER, therefore, means we can boldly face challenges and life situations knowing that we are not alone because Christ the greater one feels inside of us, hallelujah!
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities, take a minute this morning and boldly declare to yourself that GREATER IS HE THAT IS YOU THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD! Approach any challenging or difficult situation you encounter today with an OVERCOMER mindset and attitude because you have the living and mighty God, the God with the outstretched hands dwelling and living inside of you. Glory!!!
Remember with Christ you are Unbeatable, Unstoppable and you are more than a Conqueror!
