Morning Inspiration – GOD’S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT

As you step out today, here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from 2Corinthians 12:9-10 [TLB]

9. “Each time he said, “No. But I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people.” (My power works best in weakness.) Now I am glad to boast about how weak I am; I am glad to be a living demonstration of Christ’s power, instead of showing off my own power and abilities.

10. Since I know it is all for Christ’s good, I am quite happy about “the thorn,” and about insults and hardships, persecutions and difficulties; for when I am weak, then I am strong—the less I have, the more I depend on him.

These bible verses were Apostle Paul’s conclusion when he had in previous verses cried out to the Lord to take away his weakness which he described as a “thorn in his flesh.”

But in verse 9, he came to a submission after his conversation with God that Christ’s power works best in his weakness, and therefore he would rather boast about his ‘weakness’ so that the power of Christ can flow through him to do all that he needs to do!

As believers, a lot of us can relate to Paul because oftentimes we are also faced with the reality of our shortcomings arising from our weakness ( whether physical or non-physical). And this reminds us of our limitations and our need for Christ and like Paul, God also lovingly reminds of this scripture when we cry our to the Him to take our weaknesses away!

Therefore, as you go about your business and activities today, let this bible verse ignite renewed hope in you, knowing that God’s Power works best in your weakness and like Paul said, you can also boast in your weakness so that the power of Christ can work through you to accomplish all of His plans for your life.

Remember, Christ wants to be glorified in your life always, and through Him, you can do all things (Philippians 4:13) even with your apparent weakness!

So don’t look at your weakness as a punishment but as a channel that God’s power flows through so that when people see all that you have been able to achieve even with your weakness, you can be sure to give all the glory back to God. And that way Christ is honored and glorified!

Do have a blessed and fruitful day!
