As you step out today, here’s a reminder of God’s word to you from 1John 5:4 [Amplified].
“For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world, and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God].“
The [NLT] translation says,
“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith“.
Today’s key verse reminds us again just as 1John 4:4 reminded us that whoever is born of God i.e. those who have confessed and have made Christ the Lord of their lives as the bible states in Roman 10:9) have Overcome the world and our Victory comes from our relentless, continuing and persistent faith in Jesus Christ, the son of God!
Remember, Hebrew 11:6 states that without Faith it is impossible to please God. This, therefore, means that faith is crucial not just only so that we can please God and be rewarded by Him but also because it is required for us if we are to live as Overcomers here on earth.
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities today, remember that Faith is the unflinching resolve to believe and trust in God’s word i.e. it means to be fully persuaded of God’s word, the circumstances notwithstanding.
Just like the Centurion in Matthew 8:5-13 and Abraham in Romans 4:18-20 who the Bible declares as the Father of Faith because “Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping–believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”
Here are things to Note
- Faith is not just about believing God for something but doing something about what you believe God for!

Faith is your lifeline as a believer.

Faith stirs up strength in you and revives every form of dashed hope.
Remember you are born of God, therefore, you are an OVERCOMER and have VICTORY through Faith!
So, stand strong, don’t give up, don’t stay down, keep holding on to God’s word and promise(s) spoken over your life, your family, children, marriage, relationship, business, career and ministry etc. And just like Abraham, if you choose to keep believing God and don’t give up, in due season you will come to the fulfillment of all that God has promised you!
Remember, “this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world – our CONTINUING AND PERSISTENT FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!
