FIX YOUR EYES ON GOD’S TRUTH!

As you step out today, here’s a reminder of God’s word to you from Hebrews 12:2 [AMP] and Psalm 121:1-2.

“looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].”

Psalm 121:1-2 [AMP]

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”

I feel encouraged to share with you this powerful song from Hillsong called ‘Good Grace’ as you go about your daily business and activities today as the lyrics of this song is a reminder of God’s word from today’s key scriptures.

Part of the lyrics of this song which I believe will strengthen your heart and faith this morning/today and as often as you listen to it is this –

“ So don’t let your heart be troubled
Hold your head up high
Don’t fear no evil
Fix your eyes on this one truth
God is madly in love with you
So take courage
Hold on
Be strong
Remember where our help comes from”

So, no matter what the difficult situation or circumstances you might be going through right now is. Yes, it might be so painful that you ask God why? And you just might be in a state where you feel anxious and worried about all that is going on in your life right now. But my encouragement to you is – deliberately speak to your soul God’s truth today.

Just like King David did in Psalm 42:5 when he was discouraged, disturbed and his soul was in turmoil “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God” He spoke to his soul and told his soul to chose to hope in the Lord. He was intentionally about speaking and declaring to his soul and this is what you must also do, speak to your soul.

Apostle Paul also echoes these words in Romans 12:12 when he admonished the Christians in Rome to be ‘joyful in hope’. This is never going to be easy but with the strength of the Holyspirit we are comforted and assured that the Lord is in the fire and the deepest waters with us.

His promise to us as his children is this “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” – Isaiah 43:2.

So, I encourage you as you listen to this song, to Boldly declare God’s truth over your situation. When you find yourself overwhelmed with your situation, plug in your ears, repeat again again these lines and speak these words ( God’s truth) over your soul. Make it your declaration and confession and let your heart be captivated in the truth of these words knowing that God is madly in love with you.

Do have a blessed and fruitful day. Remember you are more than a conqueror!

God bless you.
