Morning Inspirations – GIVE IT ALL

As you step out today, remember God’s word to you from Colossians 3:23-24 [TLB] “Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters, 24 remembering that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you, giving you your full portion of all he owns. He is the one you are really working for.”

Another translation States [HCSB] “Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men,24 knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.”

These bible verses is a reminder to you and me as believers that we have to be intentional about everything that we do. This is important because we are representatives of Christ everywhere we go. When you say you are a Christian, sometimes without you knowing people watch you to see if your talk matches your actions!

What is your work ethics like? What are people’s reaction when it comes to working with them as a team member? Are they excited that you are a valuable asset, one that works hard and contributes to the objectives of the team or a free rider, one that always has an excuse and never meets deadlines!

Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities today,  let the wisdom of these scriptures influence your attitude to work. Choose to go the extra mile, expend yourself, be intentional about serving others, give beyond what is expected, have a smile for everyone, be ready to share your knowledge with others. Give a hug and listening ears to those who might need it.

Even if your work environment is not as exciting as you would like, or you work with difficult people, make up you mind to do your work as unto the Lord and not unto men and in due season the Lord will reward you!

Remember that you are a Christ Representer!

Do have a blessed and fruitful day!
