Galatians 4:4-7 [AMP]
“But when [in God’s plan] the proper time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the [regulations of the] Law, 5 so that He might redeem and liberate those who were under the Law, that we [who believe] might be adopted as sons [as God’s children with all rights as fully grown members of a family]. 6 And because you [really] are [His] sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave (bond-servant), but a son; and if a son, then also an heir through [the gracious act of] God [through Christ].”
Welcome to a new day. What a blessing to see another day. This is indeed the day the Lord has made and we shall rejoice and be glad in it.
Welcome to the first week of June,
Welcome to a new month,
Welcome to the sixth month (June) of 2020.
Regardless of your current situation and circumstances, God has given you his breath, He has given you the precious gift of life, a gift that no amount of money can ever buy.
Yes, He has given you and me his precious breath to accomplish his plan and purpose for today. So, as you go about your daily business and activities today, start by being thankful to your Heavenly Father for his breath in your lungs.
And while you are offering your thanksgiving to Him be sure to ask his sweet Holyspirit to order, direct and guide your steps to fulfill God’s plan for you today. His plan he has recorded in his books ( Psalm 139:16) for you today.
Now to my encouragement for you today – I just want to remind you of this powerful truth as it relates to your identity in Christ. Especially as the world continue to experience unprecedented challenges characterised by economic downturn, political and social unrest.
It is possible for the enemy of your soul – ( the devil) try to weigh you down with worry, anxiety, fear, guilt, and all sorts of negative thoughts that questions who you are in Christ and especially God’s love for you in all that is happening to you.
So, here’s God’s truth you need to hold on to as you Navigate through this seemingly difficult times – the truth that – YOU ARE BRANDED WITH GOD’S SIGNATURE because God calls you his very own. He call you his daughter, He call you his son.
Yes, as a believer, as a child of God, because you are created in the express image of God ( Genesis 1:27), you bear his identity, the blood of Jesus gave you back your identity and gave you permission to possess his name and you carry his name because you have been restored back into God’s family through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary.
Galatians 4:7 says “Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.” And 1 John 3:1 reminds us of this truth – “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
Your continuous pursuit of your identity in Christ and your unrelenting desire to understand what is God’s purpose for your life in this season should be your top priority. This is so that you can be in alignment to his will for you.
Knowing who you are in God, knowing that you are branded with God’s signature and knowing you are created in God’s image is what will give you the extra edge and will guarantee you flourishing and thriving even in this uncertain times.
Remember, your identity is in Christ and you are branded with God’s signature.
