Identity in Christ

YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUR PURPOSE!

Once you had no identity as a people;
now you are God’s people.
Once you received no mercy;
now you have received God’s mercy.”

Dear friend, I have realized in my journey with the Lord that before God sends us out as His beloved children to fulfill His purpose, He will always fix our warped identity (check out Galatians 1 and read of Apostle Paul recount his identity transformation) and the lies the enemy has made us believe about ourselves, times and times again. That we have this weakness that tells us we are not enough, that we are limited and because of that we cannot arise to step out and fulfill what God is calling us to do. Romans 8:29 MSG says “God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.”

Moses in Exodus 3, Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:6-9, Jacob in Genesis (32:22–32), Gideon in Gideon 1, Esther in Esther 3, and Mary in Luke 1 are Bible characters that can surely relate to God shaping their identity. So, you see dear friend you sure are not alone!

Note, as a Christian, you can be your own hindrance to your next level of stepping into your call and purpose based on how you evaluate yourself and see yourself. Your critical and over-analysis of yourself can lead to paralysis and ultimately limit and stop you from stepping out into purpose.

Because God is our source, because He made us, His spirit resides in us, and He knows our capacity, our strength, and our weakness. This is why He says He has chosen, called, and qualifies you, and that’s what qualifies you to step out unashamedly in your purpose.

So, when God shows up on the scene and gives us an assignment, He is giving it to us based on the capacity He has fashioned in us. You must remember God has not called us to set us up for failure but to accomplish His very purpose in our life, to max it out.

Ours is to relentlessly pursue Christ, be responsive to His Spirit, and seek Him in prayer to reveal the greatness and strength that He has placed within us.

No more hiding in the shadows dear friend, today is the day to step out & embrace your assignment and fulfill your purpose, why because you have been chosen (John 15:16, 1 Peter 2:10, Colossians 3:12), Called (1 Peter 2:10, Justified (Romans 5:1, 1 Corinthians 6:11), Sanctified (Hebrews 10:10, Colossians 3, 1 Corinthians 6:11)) and Qualified (Colossians 1:12) by your Abba Father. And that means you are good enough to accomplish His purpose for your life, hallelujah!

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend ahead!
