Morning Inspirations – SERVE OTHERS WITH YOUR GOD GIVEN ABILITIES

As you step out today here’s a reminder to you from God’s word – 1Peter 4:10-11 (TLB)
“10. God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings.

11. Are you called to preach? Then preach as though God himself were speaking through you. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies so that God will be glorified through Jesus Christ—to him be glory and power forever and ever Amen.”

These bible verses is a reminder to us of the gifts, talents, and abilities that we have uniquely being equipped with by God. However, as individuals, we can sometimes find that we are so occupied with our own needs and wants that when opportunities to use our abilities to help others present itself, we don’t recognise it and we let such opportunities go.

We live in a broken world, and it will remain so because of sin until Christ returns. In the meantime, this means that we will continue to have dysfunctional people amongst us that we will encounter every day. And as believers we are reminded through these scriptures that God is counting on us with the ‘special abilities He has deposited in us to be His hands and feets.

Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities, make up your mind to consciously use the gifts, i.e. ( the special abilities) God has given to you to impact and touch the lives of people you come across. These might be your colleagues, acquaintances, family, friends, mentors, protégés, customers, business partners, etc.

Intentionally look for opportunities (it could just be to ask a colleague if you can pray with them if you know they are going through difficult times) to use your gifts to bring ease, hope, and solution that will bless others, impact others positively, transform lives.

Remember, we bring God’s glory by serving others with our gifts!

Stay blessed.

Do have a blessed and fruitful day!
