As you step out today, here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from Ecclesiastes 7:12 (NIV) which says
“Wisdom is a shelter ( defence) as money is a shelter( defence), but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.“
The NLT translation says
“Wisdom and money can get you almost anything, but only wisdom can save your life!”
Wisdom is very crucial to our existence as believers just as today’s key verse emphasize. It provides the same power that money also commands but it has an added advantage than money – and that is LIFE!
The lack of wisdom can be very costly, and the devil delights in people being ignorant – he uses people’s ignorance to rule and reign in their lives causing all sorts of havoc.
Unfortunately, a lot of believers live ignorant of God’s word concerning their situation. They do not study the scriptures to know what’s available to them as a child of God or the promises that God has made to them. And as a result, they live below their full capacity as a child of God.
As a believer, you need the wisdom of God to navigate through every aspect of your life to be able to live Victoriously!”
The bible says in James 1:5 that whoever lacks wisdom should ask God who gives generously without finding fault and He will give you the wisdom you need and require in every situation. This is because God cares about us and want us to make the right decision and choices every time.
Therefore as you go about your daily business/activities let the prayer for wisdom be on your top list.
Don’t stop asking God for wisdom to fulfill all of your roles.
Remember, money is truly a defence but only Wisdom gives Life and preserves those who have it!
And as the Message translation says
“Wisdom is better when it’s paired with money,
Especially if you get both while you’re still living.
Double protection: wisdom and wealth!
Plus this bonus: Wisdom energizes its owner.“
