As you step out today here’s a reminder from God’s word to you from Luke 5:4-7 [The Voice]
“4 After speaking for a while, Jesus speaks to Simon.
Jesus: Move out into deeper water, and drop your nets to see what you’ll catch.
Simon(perplexed):5 Master, we’ve been fishing all night, and we haven’t caught even a minnow. But . . . all right, I’ll do it if You say so.
6 Simon then gets his fellow fishermen to help him let down their nets, and to their surprise, the water is bubbling with thrashing fish—a huge school. The strands of their nets start snapping under the weight of the catch,
7 so the crew shouts to the other boat to come out and give them a hand. They start scooping fish out of the nets and into their boats, and before long, their boats are so full of fish they almost sink!”
Today’s key verses open up a dialogue between Peter and Jesus. Their conversation clearly points to us as believers the importance of trusting and obeying God’s instructions to us even when it doesn’t make sense.
The question to you this morning is what is that instruction that the Holyspirit has been nudging in your heart to take but you’ve allowed excuses, fear of failure, uncertainty, and thoughts of what will people say to hinder you from launching out in faith!
It is important to know that every time as believers when we hesitate in doing what God has called us to do we are not only disobeying God, we are also withholding the blessings of others attached to us.
And we can just imagine what would have happened if Peter did not launch out in faith (even though he was an expert in the field of fishery) when Jesus told him to. Then it means that so many families would have gone hungry.
Remember when it comes to God, two plus two does not add up to four and logic does not count with God. Rather it is Faith in God’s word and obedience to every instructions He gives you that produces the blessings not just only in your life but in the lives of others too!
Therefore, as you go about your daily business/activities today, my encouragement to youis to quit the excuses and like Peter choose to trust the Master Jesus and launch out in faith this year to all that God has spoken to you to do in the secret place.
Let each day of your life be propelled by a desire to do God’s will. Do yourself this favour – Surround yourself with people that will keep pushing you and reminding you to pursue God’s instruction spoken to you per time. The devil tries to use fear to keep us down and to intimidate us so that we are crippled in our Faith. Which ultimately impacts on us being a blessing to others.
Today choose to say No to the devil and every excuses that has held you down from launching out ( which has only resulted in keeping your blessings) and
let the giant Arise inside of you to step out and be the blessing that God has called you to be to your generation!
Remember MIRACLES ARE SIMPLY OBEYED INSTRUCTIONS!
