HOLD ON A LITTLE LONGER!

As you step out today, here’s a reminder of God’s word to you from Hebrews 10:23 [AMP].

“ Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word];

The MSG Translation says,

“So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word.

The TPT Translation says,

“So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises!”

The NIV Translation says,

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering ( Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess) for He who promised is faithful”.

The [NLT] translation says,

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.“

Today’s Bible verse is a reminder and an encouragement to us as God’s children to not give up on God’s promises to us because He is a promise keeper and a loving Father that can be trusted. An awesome God whose credibility is flawless, reliable and unquestionable!

It is so refreshing to know that God’s word is full of many reminders of His promises and blessings to us His children!

The waiting process can be a very difficult and emotional journey but Today, the Holyspirit is reminding us through this scripture not to lose hope but to hold fast, tightly and unwavering to our confession of every promise our Heavenly Father has made to us whether in our business, education, marriage, family, children, finances, ministry etc.

Let me encourage you with these testimonies of my friends as a reminder not to give up in the waiting period but to hold on a little longer because change is coming soon. That no matter how long what you are trusting God for may seem to take, in due season God will make good that promise and bring it to pass.

Both of my friends have been trusting God for the fruit of the womb for eleven (11) and five (5) years respectively. They each had a child each, a boy and a girl and both of them were trusting God to give them another child of the opposite sex. Both of them have had numerous miscarriages (with one of them having had some of them in late second trimester), so you can imagine the pain, anguish of soul they must have experienced as it felt like God’s promises to them became real but yet were aborted again.

Despite the pain, many tears, doubt and worries, they kept praying, trusting and holding on to God’s word and his promise to them. To the glory of the Lord, the one with a five-year-old daughter gave birth to a baby boy in May and the one with an eleven-year-old son gave birth to a baby girl in June Hallelujah! ( These are testimonies that happened last year ).

Another testimony which happened this year is of a couple who were my friends in university, this month they celebrated their ten years wedding anniversary. However, since they got married in 2009, they have not had children of their own and in a recent testimony the lady shared on her Facebook page, she shared her pain and trauma of being ‘childless’ for all those years and the only hope she held on to was God’s word and promise to her even when the situation looked hopeless and impossible.

Like Abraham, against all hope she hoped (Romans 4:18-22), trusting that He that has promised is faithful. And God who is the possibility maker, who did it for Abraham and Sarah did it for her too. God turned around this lady’s sorrow and pain just like he did for Hannah and just like a dream ( like the Israelite testimony in Psalm 126) he granted her and her husband their deepest heart desires, the fruit of the womb.

Here’s the awesomeness of this testimony, God gave them not just one child but two, double for their trouble, glory be to God! He blessed them with twins, hallelujah! Wow, in just a day, on her labor day he turned around their shame, sorrow, and years of many tears around and filled their hearts with joy and mouth with laughter. Our God truly can be trusted because he is so reliable, faithful and indeed a promise keeper.

If He did it for these three ladies, his beloved daughters, won’t he do it for you too? Of course, He will surely do it for you because He is not a partial God. I can testify to his goodness and faithfulness too, he did it for me recently in the area of employment.

So, your area of need for a miracle or area of waiting might not necessarily be for a child, it could be in other areas; such as health, employment, immigration, education, business, family, marriage, court case, ministry, finances etc. But I have shared these testimonies to stir up your faith, to get you to be expectant and to make you hope and dream again. To help you narrow down your focus to God’s word, to hold God to his promise over your life and to get you to shut your ears from the devil’s lies.

I pray that their testimonies will encourage you this today to keep holding on to God’s promises, not to waver in faith and in whatever it is you are trusting God for but to believe that He has heard your prayers and He will perfect it at the right time. Remember, God is not bound by time and your timing is never God’s timing because God operates in a timeless zone. 2 Peter 3:8 says “But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.”

Therefore, as you go about your business and activities today, make up your mind to refuse to allow what you see or what people say that is contrary to God’s word influence your confession. Guard your heart and intentional shut your ears to every voice that might be speaking doubt, fear, and unbelief around you! Be intentional about creating an atmosphere of faith around you that will provoke your miracle!

Remember, God will fulfill and make good every promise He has made to you – just because He is a covenant keeping God and an ever-faithful God. Hallelujah!

God is still in the business of doing mind blowing miracles, no matter how long your waiting period has gone on for, Jehovah Elohim is bringing an end to it because He is giving you a reason not to long from now to rejoice and testify to his faithfulness and goodness. God truly can be trusted!

Do have a blessed and fruitful day!

God bless you.
