I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. ”John 10:9-10 [AMP].
Hopelessness is a state / condition or feeling of complete despondency, and desperation. To feel hopeless suggest one has come to a place of despair and acceptance that life is no longer worth living or resignation of your goals and dreams.
This mental feeling /struggle is no doubt tied to the relentless pursuit of Satan, which the Bible describes in John 10:10 that “The thief approaches with malicious intent, looking to steal, kill (slaughter), and destroy;” and Satan remains persistent in accomplishing this purpose in people’s lives.
However, for you as a believer, you have a promise and assurance from Christ, in the same verse, Jesus boldly reminds us that He came that they we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. Christ came to give as many as believe in Him, life with joy and a life full of hope, peace and possibilities.
It is therefore your responsibility as a child of God to not allow the thief to rob you of hope, and of a sound and balanced mind. Christ wants you to have abundance to the full till it overflows and in addition He wants you and I who love Him to have more and better life than you ever dreamed of. And best of all to ENJOY LIFE in Him regardless of the season of life.
