As you step out today, here’s a reminder of God’s word to you from Lamentations 3:22-24 [ESV].
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a] his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
Today’s Bible verses are a beautiful reminder of God’s unwavering and loyal love towards us His children. It reminds us as God’s children of His faithfulness, unfailing love, goodness and of His mercies available to us every morning which the Bible is quick to remind us never comes to an end.
Today’s key verses also read like a love note, however, in this instance, it is a love note to the Sovereign and Most High God, the lover of our soul. A great God who is beautiful beyond description, an everlasting God that His presence makes mountains skips like rams and hills like lambs ( Psalm 114:4). What a magnificent and glorious God He is, hallelujah!
God’s word is truth and life i.e. it has the capacity to infuse strength, hope, wisdom and power into us especially when life challenging situations tries to knock us down. And what today’s word does to us as God’s children is not only to remind us of the sovereignty of our God but also to ignite our confidence in who our Heavenly Father is to us.
Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities today, I encourage you to read out loud your love note to your Heavenly Father, the lover of your soul. A love note that reminds you of his assured love for you. Sing also a new song to him and let your heart exalt his mighty and awesome name.
Exalt his glorious name for He is your All Sufficient God. I also implore you to take a moment to really appreciate and thank your Heavenly Father from the bottom of your heart for His unfailing love towards you and your loved ones.
Run your mind through his daily mercies towards you over the months and years gone past. Think about it –
“It is because of the Lord’s loving kindness that you are not consumed,
Because His [tender] compassions never fail. For they are new every morning;
Great and beyond measure is the Lord’s faithfulness, Hallelujah!
No matter what the enemy tries to throw at you today, this week, this month and at whatever time, remind yourself of the Lord’s love that never ceases over you, of his loving kindness that daily keeps you and ensures that you are not consumed. And also for His tender compassion that is available to your morning by morning. Amen.
